CEILING SUSPENSION SYSTEMS

DIRECT MOUNT

Z-Bars are attached directly to the ceilings or structural supports, with corresponding Z-clips attached to the back of the acoustic panels. Panels are installed in sequences, with each panels confining the movement of the preceding panel.

CONSIDERATIONS

  • Access behind a panel requires the progressive removal of any succeedingly-installed panels.

DIRECT SUSPEND

SoundPly panel anchors with hanging brackets are attached to the back of the acoustic panels. Locking S-clips attach the hanging brackets to suspension cables anchored from the ceiling.

FEATURES

  • Ideal for clouds and stand-alone installations.
  • Utilizes the internal strength of SoundPly panels, the system eliminates the need for external panel braces and supports.
  • Allows for double-sided acoustic performance and visibility within balcony and atrium environments.
  • Provides unrestricted flexibility for panel placement and orientation.
  • Panels can be demounted.

CONSIDERATIONS

  • Stabilization cables must be used for any installation in the vicinity of air currents. (i.e., heating, ventilation or open passageways).

LAY-IN GRID

SoundPly panels are engineered to seamlessly lay into into any of common suspended grid systems —including those by Armstrong, CertainTeed, Rockfon or USG. Install panels by inserting through the grid, then nesting onto the perimeter lip created by the T-bars.

  • Provides 100% upwards accessibility to plenum space.

CONSIDERATIONS

  • A minimum suspension depth of 2.5” is required to provide clearance for panel installation.

CONCEALED GRID

Torsions springs are attached to the back of the SoundPly panel using retainer clips. Torsion spring saddles are attached to the T-bars of a standard grid. Once a panel’s torsion springs are set into the saddles, the panel is pushed up, resting flush against the grid.

  • Reveals between panels as small as ¼”.
  • Can be used for panel sizes up to 4’ x 8’.
  • Utilizes common, off-the-shelf grid components.
  • Provides 100% downward accessibility to plenum space.
  • Panels can be demounted.

CONSIDERATIONS

  • A minimum suspension depth of 5” is required to provide clearance for the torsion springs.
